I have driven ad-hoc race with Moss Motorsport UK since the Silverstone 24hr race in 2015. Throughout this time there was always talk about the craziest BMW 1M imaginable, a 700bhp V10 monster! So when the team boss phoned and asked if I was available to drive the first 2 rounds of 2019, I said yes before he finished the sentence.

Unfortunately, the car had to be retired in the first of 2 races with engine failure. By the time the car was repaired I had been asked to drive a SEAT TCR for the remainder of the season. So, this is video is selected from only 7 laps I've driven the car, 7 laps that made a huge impression and I remain hopeful that I get to experience 9,200rpm of V10 again soon.

Video from the 2016 Silverstone Classic driving the Freisinger Porsche 996 GT3 R. This very car finished 7th overall at the 2001 Le Mans 24hr race and had just undergone a 7 year restoration. My brief, drive fast, don't crash and keep your fingers crossed that nothing falls off. Unfortunately I wasn't able to drive at full race pace during the demonstration sessions that weekend but my time behind the wheel and the noise of the unsilenced flat 6 engine will remain a fond memory.

The 2016 season started early for me, January 14th to be precise.  I had been invited to drive in the Dubai 24hr race organised and promoted by Creventic.  There would be a record 100 entries for that years event with cars spanning from GT3 machines to Clio Cup cars.

We started strong and were running 2nd in class until the early hours of Sunday morning when one of my team mates was unfortunately collected in another drivers accident and hit the wall at around 80mph.  An amazing effort from our team saw the entire front of the car replaced which made it possible to finish the race although no silverware was bought home with the 3-hour repair time.
